Our subscription year starts on 1 January but we offer a reduced rate if you join after 1 May and after 1 September each year. Please click on the application form below for full details.
Subscriptions for 2026 are the same as for 2025: £45 single or £80 for joint membership. This includes:
- membership of The Arts Society (via our membership card) that entitles you to certain offers as advertised in the Arts Society magazine.
- copies of The Arts Society Magazine that are mailed to your home address three times a year.
- a copy of our annual Newsletter
- an opportunity to book a place on any visits, study events and tours that the Society organises.

THE 2026 APPLICATION FORM
A Standing Order Mandate for renewal at the end of the year for SINGLE MEMBERS and JOINT MEMBERS
A Gift Aid Declarations* (if applicable) for SINGLE MEMBERSHIP and JOINT MEMBERSHIP. Please note that a declaration is required for each joint member who is a UK taxpayer. If you join mid-year please use the MID-YEAR MEMBERSHIP form.
* Please note that since we are a Charity, Gift Aid can be claimed on the whole of the subscription that you pay each year.
Visitors are welcome at our lectures but we do ask for a fee of £10 at the door (or £5 to watch online). This donation can be deducted from your subscription if you decide to join after watching the lecture.

Your Privacy is important to us. We will keep your data secure and not share it with any other unaffiliated organisation or third party. We will use your details only to contact you with matters relating to the Arts Society: to send our newsletters and details of events: on matters relating to your membership and, in matters relating to your voluntary work. We will keep your details up-to-date and delete them when your membership ceases.
